Arno Roelofs
Arno Roelofs is an acupuncturist and Jungian Analyst. He is the founder and teacher of JUNGacademie Nederland. In addition, he has written "The Psychology of Acupuncture." He shows that Chinese and Western Alchemy describe our psychological processes.
Following the Inner Path
The inner path is one of the two paths described by Chinese Alchemy in the Cantong Chi. How can we, as therapists, deal with this? Arno Roelofs will provide his perspective on this from Carl Jung's Analytical Psychology.
After experiencing a crisis, Jung decided to turn away from the outer path; his work with Freud up to that point and to explore his own inner path.
He called this "my most difficult experiment".
Also as a therapist, we often come to a point: what's next? This is the moment to pause and turn inward, to find our inner path. When we follow the outer path of daily life, we can nourish ourselves by occasionally taking a detour to the inner path. This inner path will present itself regularly; the art is to recognize it and dare to follow it.
