Lawyer and bon vivant 1945-2015
He was involved in the establishment and shaping of the NVA as a lawyer in 1977.
The current association owes part of its stability to his efforts, which he made entirely selflessly. He wrote the articles of association and regulations and later managed the Supervisory Board for many years. His approach was not so much focused on punishment as on stimulating awareness and creating a new opportunity. His commitment to the NVA was significant. Ultimately, he did not have to say goodbye to the NVA; at the time of his sudden death in 2015, he was still the chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Medal, lasting memento
The Monty Kraayeveld Medal was created after his death to honor and commemorate him permanently. Monty Kraayeveld has meant a great deal to our association. This distinction can be awarded by the board to individuals (members and non-members) who have made a significant contribution to acupuncture in general, in the Netherlands or abroad.
