Professional liability insurance
Professional Liability Insurance
According to the House Rules (Chapter II, Article 3.g.), practicing NVA members are required to obtain professional liability insurance (PLI) to protect themselves against medical errors or accidents that may cause material damage in their practice.
Collective Professional Liability Insurance via VvAA
The NVA offers an affordable collective professional liability insurance insurance policy through VvAA, which practicing members can join. If you are already individually insured with VvAA, you can switch to the collective policy. You will receive the registration form in the next step of the application process.
Annual Premium 2025:
- Premium: € 96.86
- Deductible: € 96.86 (one-time)
- Insured Personnel: € 24.25 per person
These amounts include 21% insurance tax.
After registering you will receive a certificate in your name including your NVA membership number. This certificate serves as proof of insurance. Details about coverage and insured activities can be found at the bottom of this page.
If not covered by the Collective Insurance:
If you choose to insure yourself elsewhere or already have professional liability insurance, you must provide the NVA secretariat with a copy of your policy. This copy must include your name and the insured profession. It will be treated confidentially and added to your membership file.
