Professional liability insurance
According to the House Rules (ch. II, art. 3.g.), practicing NVA members must take out professional liability insurance (PLI) to insure themselves against medical errors or accidents causing material damage in practice.
Collective Professional Liability Insurance via VvAA
The NVA offers an advantageous collective professional liability insurance via VvAA, which practicing members can join. If you are already individually insured with VvAA, you can switch to the collective policy. You will receive the registration form in the next step of the procedure.
Annual premium 2025:
- Premium: € 96.86
- Deductible: € 96.86 (one-time)
- Additional insured personnel: € 24.25 per person
These amounts include 21% insurance tax.
After registration you will receive a certificate in your name and NVA membership number, which serves as proof of insurance. The coverage and insured activities can be found at the bottom of this page.
Not collective:
If you want to insure yourself elsewhere or already have professional liability insurance, you must provide a copy of your policy, with your name and the insured profession, to the NVA secretariat. This copy will be treated confidentially and added to your membership file.
