Mrs. Wilma van Maarschalkerweerd
On April 15, 2023, the board of the Dutch Acupuncture Association awarded the Monty Kraayeveld Medal to Wilma van Maarschalkerweerd
Motivation for the Award
- In December 1991, Wilma became a member of the association. In May 2001, she joined as a cadre member of the Behavior & Welfare Department, and from April 2005 onwards, she combined her chairmanship of this department - which governs how members should conduct themselves in their practice within the NVA and what is required for that - with her work as a secretary (as an employee) at the NVA secretariat.
- During that time, Wilma was the person many individuals, both within and outside the NVA, contacted when they had difficult questions by phone or email.
- With an excellent memory for past contacts or agreements on similar topics, Wilma often immediately formulated a clear answer or thought of a good way to arrive at that answer, either right away or after a brief search.
- In addition, based on her passion for language, Wilma wrote a large part of the blogs on the NVA website and made concepts of regulations or letters readable and, above all, clear.
With these qualities, Wilma van Maarschalkerweerd has been of great value to the professionalism of the association.
