How Hygienic is a Needle Treatment?
Acupuncturists affiliated with the NVA are required to work according to strict hygiene regulations. These apply to the treatment room, all procedures, and the use of needles. They use sterile needles for single use. These are disposed of in a sealable needle container after the treatment. Some acupuncturists work with gold needles, which are sterilized after use with the appropriate equipment.
