Foreign diplomas
If you hold a foreign diploma in Western medical education and/or acupuncture, you must have it certified in the country where it was issued. Additionally, the diploma must be evaluated or compared by the IcDW (Information Centre for Diploma Evaluation).
All copies of foreign diplomas must first be certified in the country of issue. The original diploma and a valid identification document must be submitted to the NVA secretariat. Also, sworn translations in Dutch or English must be provided for all certified diplomas and/or certificates.

For more information on diploma evaluation or education comparison, you can contact the IcDW [1]. The diploma evaluation for Western medical education is a diploma comparison, which suffices for applying for NVA membership.
CIBG
If you wish to practice the relevant Western medical profession in the Netherlands, you can apply to the CIBG [2]. For more information, you may also contact the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS).

Do you hold a nationality outside the European Union, please include a copy of your residence permit with your application.
