Practicing Membership with an MBK Diploma
If you wish to join the NVA as a Practicing Member with a diploma in Medical Basic Knowledge (MBK) of 40+ ECTS, you must also meet the minimum medical education requirements. You have three years to fulfill these requirements, starting from June 1 following the start of your membership.
Continuing Education Program
The program consists of two components:
- WM-B: Additional knowledge about anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology with direct relevance to conventional medical practice.
Duration: 5 days. - WM-C: Practical skills such as therapy, ethics, and communication in the context of conventional healthcare.
Duration: Up to 7.5 days (depending on your work experience).
Continuing Education Credits
Up to six of the WM-B or WM-C days can also count as continuing education (with WM-code accreditation).
- Three of these days are counted in your current registration period.
- The other three can be carried over into the next period.
This makes the continuing education pathway more manageable than it may initially appear.
Current Offerings
Continuing education is currently offered by the following institutions:
- TCM Academy Netherlands
- Qing-Bai Academy
- Shenzhou Open University of TCM
