Join with MBK diploma
To be admitted as a practicing member of the NVA with a diploma in Medical Basic Knowledge (MBK) of 40+ ECTS, it is additionally required to meet the minimum medical educational requirements. You have three years to do this, starting from June 1 after the start of your membership.
Refresher program
The program consists of two parts:
- WM-B: Additional knowledge about anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology applied to regular medical practice.
Required: 5 days. - WM-C: Skills such as therapy, ethics, and communication within regular care.
Required: Maximum 7.5 days (depending on work experience).
Further training also counts as refresher training
Up to six of these further training days (WM-B or WM-C) also count as refresher training with code WM. Three are registered in the first registration period and three can be carried over to the next period. This makes the further training program less intensive than it seems.
