Continuing education requirement
The continuing education registration period runs from June 1 to June 1 three years later.
The continuing education requirement within the NVA is 9 days per
registration period consisting of:
- six subject-specific days (average of 2 days per year)
- three Western medical days (average of 1 day per year).
The continuing education requirement for acupuncturists is 9 days per registration period: 6 days of acupuncture training (code A) of which at least 4 days must be TCM-related (code T), plus 3 days of Western medical education (code WM).Combination code:Days with both professional and Western medical knowledge will receive a combination code (for example AT/WM). These days will be recorded as half a day with the professional code and half a day with WM.
