Acupuncture effective on many points

Your acupuncture training does not meet the requirements

A. If the Education and Science department (E&S) believes that your qualifications meet the NVA Professional Profile, except that the acupuncture training was not completed at an NVA-recognized institution, it will provide the Executive Board with advice on your admission to NVA membership, potentially subject to additional training requirements. The Executive Board will then decide whether the admission process can proceed.

B. The Department of Education and Research may, after assessing the curriculum documentation (content and study load) of the completed (non-recognized) acupuncture training, decide that you must take an acupuncture exam at an acupuncture training recognized by the NVA for the acupuncture part of the training. Exemptions may be granted if applicable.

Acupuncture Exam
The acupuncture exam consists of a written, an oral, and a practical part and is administered at an acupuncture training recognized by the NVA. The level of this exam is the same as the exam taken by students in this program. It is conducted in the Dutch language; technical terms may be in English. The exam fees are determined and paid to the training institute.

If A and B do not apply, you will still need to complete and successfully pass a full acupuncture study at an acupuncture training recognized by the NVA to qualify for NVA membership.

Above points also apply if you have obtained a non-recognized acupuncture diploma abroad.
