Almost 70 (!) years ago, in 1956, an article appeared in the magazine Panorama with the title 'Healed by Needles'. It tells, among other things, the story of Hans, a stoker on a steam locomotive, who develops back problems due to his physically demanding job.

Thanks to a perfectly timed encounter with an old school friend, Hans ends up at a mysterious German doctor who practices a mysterious healing method involving needles.

The text beautifully captures the spirit of the time and also shows how much more well-known and accepted acupuncture has become over time! One of the NVA members shared the article, you can find it in the attachment below.
