Safety of acupuncture
Over the past fifty years, acupuncture has been subjected to intensive scientific evaluation in more than 8,000 clinical trials and has demonstrated its effectiveness in treating many diseases that occur in modern Western societies. And it must show a good balance between the benefits and possible (serious) side effects. The article below discusses the safety of acupuncture and some of the key issues related to research in this area.
