Els started her career with her own massage practice in 2006. Her passion for treating resulted in following many courses and training in the field of massage. However, she felt that she was working too much 'on the surface' and couldn't really penetrate to the underlying problem.

Els got acquainted with acupuncture herself when she had severe abdominal pain regularly as a twelve-year-old. Neither the general practitioner nor the specialists in the hospital could offer a concrete solution. After a visit to acupuncturist Ray Rosenkrans, improvement was clearly noticeable, and after a number of treatments, the abdominal pain was a thing of the past.

Knowing what acupuncture had meant to her, she started the acupuncture bachelor's program in 2011. She finds it fascinating every time to see how surprised people can be when they notice pain reduction or when the range of motion improves during the treatment.
