Acupuncture for all ages

Did you know that an acupuncturist is a specialist in, well, in everything really? That is to say, every acupuncturist is trained all-round, learns to assess and treat many types of pain, learns about digestive complaints, respiratory complaints, gynecological problems, fertility, sleep problems, and so on.

That broad education is very logical. After all, Traditional Chinese Medicine, of which acupuncture is a part, looks at the whole person. At the body, the mind, the emotions. A complaint is seen as a symptom of the disturbance of the whole.

Specialist and allrounder
An acupuncturist can of course specialize in a specific area, based on personal preference or interest; another may have more affinity with a different problem area. But during the training, all disciplines are covered. And not only acupuncture, but also Chinese herbs, cupping, moxa, and nutrition. In addition, there are further training courses in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Tuina, with movement and massage techniques.

For all ages
The acupuncturist therefore treats the person as a whole and in all stages of life. During the Acupuncture Week 2018, we paid extensive attention to the different stages of life. Go to the series of articles via the link at the bottom of this page.
