Lifestyle against COVID-19

Eating healthy, getting enough sleep, peace of mind. Important aspects to make your body and mind resilient. Regular and alternative doctors, therapists, and bloggers all agree on this. Lifestyle as medicine! It's nice to know how you can make yourself stronger, so your own defenses better protect you against the coronavirus.
From the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are three areas in our body affected by the virus. The most prominent is the lung area. That's where the body's fight against the virus is most evident.
Respiration
The lungs, together with the heart, ensure the distribution of energy in the body. For this, a free breathing is important, which does not stay high in your chest, but also moves your belly. This creates a sense of space in your body and in your mind. An emotion like sadness often becomes less oppressive. Or the tears come, which can literally be a relief.
Digestive Power
The second area, between our navel and ribs, houses our digestive power. Our food is converted there into usable energy to nourish and sustain our body. Improper diet and emotions, such as anger and worry, can be disruptive here.
Essential Power
Our most basic line of defense is located in the zone below the navel. This area is connected to our origin, our essential source. Here we find the power to face this time of great crisis flexibly. Sometimes, however, all the external stimuli cause a lot of unrest or fear, because so many certainties disappear.
