What will you do?
As office manager, you play an important role in representing the association. You identify actions and potential problems before anyone else has thought of them. With your proactive attitude and 'hands-on' mentality, you help the association achieve its goals. The tasks of the office manager include, among others:
- Board: you coordinate and monitor the implementation of the board policy. By attending board meetings, you form the link between the association and the secretariat;
- HR: think of initiating performance and appraisal interviews, maintaining personnel administration, and recruiting new employees;
- Financial: you work together with the treasurer to monitor the financial flows of the association;
- Activities: you organize and coordinate various meetings such as the annual general meeting, brainstorming Cadre Day, and the five-yearly NVA anniversary congress;
- Organization: you coordinate and are responsible for carrying out secretarial and administrative tasks. You analyze any bottlenecks in the work processes and implement improvements together with your colleagues;
- Facility: you coordinate and analyze any bottlenecks in the maintenance of our CRM system (Account View), system management, website management, telephony, office facilities, housing, and workplaces.

We are looking for an experienced Office Manager starting in September.
The Dutch Association for Acupuncture (NVA) is the largest professional association for acupuncturists in our country. We work, with a fixed team of 6 people at the secretariat in Amersfoort. The secretariat works together with about thirty volunteers (acupuncturists) within the association.
The NVA is ready for its members, but also brings acupuncture to the attention of the public, healthcare providers, and politicians. The NVA stands for recognition, knowledge, and awareness of acupuncture as a form of treatment. The objective is to ensure that the quality of acupuncture in the Netherlands meets the highest standards. The secretariat plays a central role in both internal and external communication within the association.

Your Profile
You are a driven, structured, and enthusiastic person with a passion for making an impact in the non-profit sector. You are service-oriented, representative, and communicatively strong. With your competencies, you effortlessly maintain good contact with both the members, the volunteers, and the board. You are discreet and therefore know well how to handle confidential information.
We ask
- An MBO+ / HBO level of education;
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience;
- Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Experience with CRM systems is a plus;
- You live in the vicinity of Amersfoort;
- You have an affinity with alternative healing methods.
