Proficiency in the Dutch language
The NVA requires NVA members to have a B2 level of proficiency in the Dutch language (NT2). Proficiency in the Dutch language is important for conveying and understanding information from patient to therapist and vice versa. It also benefits communication with other parties in healthcare.
Upon admission to the NVA membership, one has until the end of the first three-year registration period to meet the language requirement. Strict conditions apply, such as: one must demonstrate proficiency in the English language at level B2 and show evidence of having started the course. Exact conditions will be provided upon admission.
