Indirect admission acupuncture training
1. If the Education and Science Department (E&S) believes that your qualifications meet the NVA Professional Profile, except that the acupuncture training was not completed at an NVA-recognized institution, it will provide the Core Board with advice on admission to NVA membership, possibly subject to additional training requirements to be determined. The Core Board will then decide whether the admission process can proceed.
2. O&W can, after evaluating the curriculum documentation (content and study load) of the completed (unrecognized) acupuncture training, decide that you must take a test/acupuncture exam for the acupuncture part of the training at an acupuncture training recognized by the NVA. Exemptions may be granted if necessary.
3. If 1 and 2 do not apply, you will still need to complete a full acupuncture study at an acupuncture training recognized by the NVA and successfully graduate to qualify for NVA membership.
