Practicing membership
The Practicing Membership is intended for acupuncturists who meet the requirements set for the pre-education and the acupuncture training and who practice acupuncture in accordance with the professional profile, regulations, and advice of the NVA.
As a practicing member, like student and affiliate members, you are entitled to the following. You will receive:
- the association magazine Huang Ti. You will receive this four times a year.
- the professional profile of NVA acupuncturists
- access to the members' section of the NVA website
And furthermore, you are entitled to the following:
- attending the annual general meeting and having voting rights
- use of the NVA logo for printed materials and/or on your website
- access to collective insurance through the VvAA
- treatment reimbursement from participating health insurers
- listing of your practice details on the NVA website
- participation in the automatic direct debit payment scheme for membership fees
- five information packets for (general) practitioners (available upon request from the secretariat)
- a window sticker to identify you as an NVA acupuncturist
- option to purchase a recognition plaque with your personal details
- purchase of the NVA brochure and informational leaflets
- for the brochure and leaflets, you can buy a presentation rack/carousel
- loan of an NVA banner for decorating a trade fair booth against a deposit of €50
- automatic affiliation through membership with:
- the Dispute Resolution Body St. Zorggeschil
- the Umbrella Organization for Alternative Treatment Methods, the KAB
- the international umbrella organization European TCM Association, the ETCMA
- the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies, the WFAS
Example of a window sticker
The identification badge consists of a perspex base plate and a perspex nameplate.
For the base plate, you can choose from one of the five NVA corporate identity colors.
If the practice (temporarily) ends or if you (for a certain period) go abroad, the Practicing Membership can be converted to Affiliate Membership. You are then no longer allowed to use the above recognition shield and/or the window sticker.
