Are alternative treatments ridiculous?
29/11/2018
The media are massively focusing on the fact that CZ, OHRA, and Nationale Nederlanden no longer reimburse certain alternative treatment methods. And this is based on a survey of 300 policyholders who do not want to contribute to alternative methods. They find these treatment methods ridiculous. What Lubach on Sunday shouted a year ago has stuck and is being brought back out. On what knowledge are therapy methods being rejected? We are very curious about the research.
Solidarity
Of course, it is important that insurance premiums are spent responsibly. But insurance works on a principle of solidarity. For example, there is a large group of insured individuals who are very happy that the repair of football injuries and broken winter sports legs is reimbursed. OHRA even advertises a helicopter flight in the supplementary package. Those who do not play football or ski still contribute to this.
A number of umbrella organizations and professional associations have started a petition to make it clear that health insurers cannot take such actions. The petition will be presented on November 30 by the KAB and RBCZ umbrella organizations to CZ, OHRA, and Nationale Nederlanden.
