Acupuncture and emotional balance
Mental Health Week 2nd to 8th June
Everyone experiences stress, anxiety, or a period of emotional imbalance at some point. Human emotions, which can be quite logical in certain (difficult) situations. But what if this occurs too frequently, if your fears increasingly limit you, or if you feel disproportionately and for an extended period of time downcast, anxious, angry, or stressed?
From 2nd to 8th June, it's Mental Health Week, a good time to reflect on your emotional well-being. We'd like to share with you the value of acupuncture in supporting emotional balance.
A Healthy Emotional Balance
While we recommend consulting with conventional doctors and therapists for serious mental issues, acupuncture can contribute to positive support in regulating emotions. Acupuncture focuses on restoring balance in the body and can help alleviate stress, anxiety, and mood swings. Stimulation of acupuncture points shows a response in regulating neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins*. Important substances that influence our mood. In this way, acupuncture can contribute to better emotional balance and relaxation during periods of stress. It often complements other (conventional) treatment plans well.
