Normal or renewed normal?
The society is opening up again! Who isn't looking forward to things getting 'back to normal'! We are eager to meet each other, let loose, and have a blast. Yet, there are plenty of people for whom returning to normal looks different. For those with weakened immune systems due to illness, after a transplant, or immunotherapy, carefree health is never a given, pandemic or not. Let's continue to consider them. Give them space too.
Normal or the new normal?
Even if you do not belong to the vulnerable group, you can wonder whether you want to go back to 'normal'. Or do you prefer a 'renewed normal'? With a bit more attention to the basics? Taking better care of ourselves, going outside more, and moving? Letting ourselves be less guided by more, must, and busybusybusy?
Lifestyle as Medicine
If there's one thing the pandemic has taught us, it's that a healthy lifestyle helps build resilience. This is something conventional and alternative doctors, therapists, and bloggers wholeheartedly agree on. Lifestyle as medicine! Eating healthily, getting enough sleep, finding peace of mind. Important aspects to make your body and mind more resilient. It's comforting to know how you can make yourself stronger, so your own defenses better protect you.
Acupuncture and Prevention
Traditional Chinese Medicine, of which acupuncture is a part, has always been focused on prevention. On preventing illness by recognizing and treating symptoms of impending imbalance at an early stage. To increase your resistance, three areas are primarily important: breathing, digestion, and our basic energy, connected to our origin.
Respiration, Nutrition, and Acupressure
These three areas are covered in a number of interesting articles that we have published before. Including explanations on how you can strengthen these areas with respiration, nutrition, and acupressure. You can find these articles (with underlying pages) via the links in the blocks below.
