My name is Sanne van der Zee. As an HBO-V+ nurse, I have laid a broad foundation for my practice in regular healthcare. The choice for my study of Chinese medicine was motivated by my father who, terminally ill, traveled to China and returned healed after an intensive treatment with acupuncture, herbs, and Qi Gong. Although I come from a traditionally Western and medically educated family, this made a huge impression on me. Through my knowledge and experience in regular care and the opportunities to shape my career with Chinese Medicine, I am now fully dedicated to the patients in my practice.

Just as Western medicine is not one truth, neither is Chinese medicine. Western medicine is particularly good at acute traumas, while Chinese medicine excels in more chronic, long-term complaints. One does not have to exclude the other but can complement each other in restoring the health of my patients.
