My name is Gertjan Koornneef and I am an acupuncturist at Vita_Liek in Helmond. 

Clients describe me as involved, careful, and enthusiastic. The passion for this profession started during a search for the energy balance in the body, at a time when my own energy was lower. With my original technical background, I found a logic in Traditional Chinese Medicine that I have been applying with pleasure for many years now. 

In my practice, I apply two special acupuncture methods. For pain complaints that are clearly identifiable, I usually use Dr. Tan's balance method. In most cases, immediate relief is noticeable. In addition, for complex and/or stress-related complaints, I apply parallel acupuncture. This is a method that even more powerfully triggers the body's self-healing ability, allowing the body to initially determine which imbalance needs to be restored. During the treatment process, I then adjust more and more, depending on the recovery process. 

The main courses I have taken at Qing Bai Academy include: acupuncture, tuina massage, various additional training courses related to Dr. Tan's balance method. In addition, in 2022, I successfully completed a course in BBRS parallel acupuncture.
