Weekend headache

You are busy with your work, your personal and social life. You want everything to be arranged and done well. In the run-up to the May holidays, many parents get stuck. How do you arrange childcare during the holidays, who works when, and so on. You are juggling all the balls. Then it's the weekend and on Saturday you wake up with a headache, what a disappointment!
High Adrenaline Level
On the weekend, you don't have to run as much and constantly check the time. With a bit of bad luck, it turns into a severe headache that only disappears on Monday morning when you start up again at work or at home. You are so accustomed to a high adrenaline level that your body starts to rebel when that level is not required for a moment.
Recognizable?
Fortunately, Traditional Chinese Medicine has good solutions for this annoying phenomenon. And the weekend will also be a relaxing moment for you.
Nutrition
An obvious difference between your workweek and the weekend is the amount of coffee you consume. This, of course, doesn't mean that on Saturday you should also drink numerous cups of coffee to prevent headaches. By adjusting your diet, you'll do yourself a great favor.
To strengthen your basic energy, gentle, warming foods can help, such as beef, cherries, chicken, brown rice, honey, herring, mackerel, pork, boiled potatoes, white rice, white beans, tofu, and shiitake mushrooms.
If you supplement this with stimulating foods, like walnuts, dill, fennel, onion, star anise, strawberries, chestnuts, pistachios, and citrus fruits, fried or heavily spiced foods, then you will bring yourself into good balance.
Avoid cold foods, as these can further lower your adrenaline levels.
Acupressure for Headaches
You can also reduce your headache by gently massaging certain points on your head, at least one minute per point. It's even more pleasant if someone else massages the points for you. Then you can relax to the fullest.
Two important points are located on your forehead, near your hairline above your nose. The high muscle tension in your shoulders, which almost always comes with headaches, is reduced as a result. Another important point is located right between your eyebrows.
If your headache manifests as a throbbing pain behind your eyes, it's good to massage another point. That's between your outer eye corner and your ear, so in the middle of the bony part known as your 'temples'.
The last point is on the hard cartilage flap at the top of your earlobe. It is just above the spot where the earring piercing is usually located. This is a reflex point for all skull bones and is highly relieving for any type of headache!
With these tips, you can combat headaches in a healthy way and feel fit and vital!
Are your headaches getting worse?
If so, an acupuncturist can help reduce your headaches. Acupuncture is a natural and safe way to alleviate various complaints. It is painless and has no side effects. An acupuncturist works on the principle that physical and mental complaints arise from a disruption in your energy balance. During the treatment, very thin needles are placed at specific points on your body. This helps regulate your energy flow and restore your energy balance. As a result, your headache symptoms decrease significantly or even disappear completely.
