Liability during / after study
Maybe you can hardly wait, but during your studies it is absolutely not responsible to start treating patients. Also, needling fellow students outside of the course will likely be discouraged by the program.
Your acupuncture training has liability insurance for any incidents during the (practical) lessons. During your internship, you work under the responsibility of the practicing acupuncturist and their professional liability insurance. It is therefore not necessary to take out a separate liability insurance during your studies.
Only when you are certified can you work independently as an acupuncturist and take out your own (group) professional liability insurance. If you are employed, you will be covered by your employer's insurance.
