Continuing education requirement for NVA member

Further education is education for all NVA members that complements, expands, and deepens the knowledge, skills, and attitude gained in the pre-training or acupuncture training.

Number of Continuing Education Days
The continuing education requirement for practicing members is a total of 9 days per registration period of 3 years. 

Contents of the refresher days
6 days should focus on the professional aspects:
Acupuncture TCM and Herbal Medicine.
3 days should focus on Western medicine.

Type of Continuing Education
For registration of a subject-related continuing education, the following are eligible: Education day; Teacher day; Congress day; Foreign day.

Accreditation by Continuing Education Department
If a continuing education takes place in the Netherlands (or just across the border), the accreditation application is solely handled between the Continuing Education Department and the continuing education institute with which the NVA has a continuing education contract. Different rules may apply for WM days, which can be found on the member website.

Application for Foreign Continuing Education
Foreign continuing education can be requested individually by a member from the department. The application, with all relevant information, must be submitted well before the start of the course. Approved foreign continuing education will be visible in the course offerings on the members' section of our website and in the Huang Ti.

Only pre-accredited further education courses will be registered.
