Practical matters to arrange
For admission to membership of the NVA, you still need to arrange a number of practical matters:
- The application procedure requires a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
- You must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
- You must then register as a new healthcare provider with the Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate (via the CIBG), within three months before starting to provide care.
- You need two AGB codes to be eligible for reimbursement by health insurers. Note: Applications can be made after steps 2 and 3 and after the start date of membership.
- As a practicing NVA member, you must have professional liability insurance.
Read all information carefully and also pay attention to the order in which you need to proceed.
Starter's Guide
For starting acupuncturists, the NVA has developed a Starter's Guide.
Upon registration, new members will receive this useful booklet at home with information on issues such as:
What should you consider before actually opening the doors of your practice? Are you starting a practice at home or elsewhere? Or maybe you prefer to join others in an existing practice and what is involved in that? Are there legal requirements to consider? What financial aspects should you think about?
