Six experiences with cancer
Six experts share their experience with acupuncture in cancer
During and after the (conventional) cancer treatment process, acupuncture is highly effective against potential side effects or accompanying complaints, such as fatigue, insomnia, pain, hot flashes, and so on. It improves the quality of life during a challenging period in your life.
No one can tell that better than people who have experienced it. That's why six videos have been made, in which experts by experience share what acupuncture has meant to them. Two of these videos will also be posted on www.kanker.nl, the story of Elles and Jur.
Collaborating for better support
Fortunately, more and more doctors are becoming convinced that acupuncture can mean something (and often a lot!) for their patients, including those facing cancer. Oncologists and oncology nurses are increasingly referring to acupuncturists. Networks are emerging, in which collaboration is key to providing better multidisciplinary support for people with cancer, combining conventional and complementary approaches. Acupuncturists from the NVA are actively involved in these networks. This is how the connection between the NVA and kanker.nl was established.
Below you will find the stories of Elles and Jur. Further in this section, the stories of Dalanie, Fred, Diny, and Marilou.
