I am Laura van der Vlugt (1988) married, mother of two children and living in Lisse.

In 2009 I completed my Communication studies and started my career with full of energy. After various positions in different industries, I realized that no job gave me the satisfaction I was looking for.

When a burnout was looming, I knew; I had to make choices. The next day I resigned from my then employer and started the search for my passion.

Acupuncture came into my life and I was immediately captivated. The Eastern philosophy - including the Taoism of the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu, after which my practice is named - gave me a new direction in my life.

I successfully completed the 4-year acupuncture training at TCMA (Traditional Chinese Medicine Academy) in June 2018. I also completed the Medical basic training here.

Every year I follow courses and further education to acquire new knowledge, in alternative healthcare you never stop learning! This is how I also came into contact with NEI therapy (Neuro Emotional Integration). A treatment method that also has its roots in Eastern medicine. Since the spring of 2024, this therapy has been added to the practice.
