Waves of Qi

My name is Linda Koeleman, I am the acupuncturist at Waves of Qi. For years I have worked in marketing. I have worked at marketing agencies and in recent years for a manufacturer of Hearing Aids. I have always enjoyed my work very much, but did not feel at home in the corporate world. This realization came during Corona and the maternity leave of my youngest son, our Corona baby. Like many others, this period gave me time to think about what truly makes me happy: people! Or actually: working with and for people and children.

Why acupuncture?

That is one of the most difficult questions you can ask me. I have had acupuncture myself for fatigue complaints related to my Crohn's disease and quitting smoking. Both worked so well that I wanted to discover what acupuncture does exactly. It was a gamble at the time to start the training, but it turns out to be one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done (along with having children, dancing, surfing, skateboarding, and actually much more).

I am not the 'airy-fairy' acupuncturist that people sometimes fear. I do not believe that Acupuncture is the solution for all complaints and diseases in life. But I do believe that acupuncture, often alongside conventional treatment, can provide relief and improvement for many complaints. Are you curious if I can help you with something?
