My interest in acupuncture dates back many years. My first treatment and the feeling of more balance and energy after the treatment that (in my opinion) was brought about by the insertion of a number of acupuncture needles, triggered me to further delve into Traditional Chinese Medicine.

After completing my three-year acupuncture training at Qing Bai and internships in San Diego (USA) and with a number of Dutch NVA colleagues, I have been a certified acupuncturist according to Traditional Chinese Medicine since June 2019. I have also specialized in master Tung acupuncture, auriculotherapy, and Shinoshin pediatric acupuncture.

In addition to building my practice, I am active as:

Junior researcher at the Nutrition Lifestyle and Exercise research group at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, where we are working on developing a number of personalized programs for groups with chronic conditions such as diabetes mellitus, COPD, rheumatism, and people with overweight.
