EBA Summaries
EBA stands for Evidence Based Acupuncture, which means 'acupuncture based on evidence'. Research on the effectiveness of acupuncture is being conducted worldwide. Fortunately, there are knowledgeable people who compile these studies. This makes the information readable and understandable for anyone interested, without requiring a university degree. For that, we are grateful!
Oncological Pain and the Benefits of Acupuncture
Pain is very common among former cancer patients and can be caused by cancer cells invading organs, soft tissues (nerves and blood vessels), or bones. This pain can also arise from medical treatments for cancer, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, and surgery. Compared to (pain) medication, which is associated with side effects and lacks sufficient clinical evidence of effectiveness, acupuncture offers a safe, cost-effective, and evidence-based treatment for oncological pain.
