Dispute Resolution Body Foundation Care Dispute
A NVA acupuncturist is (usually) affiliated with the Healthcare Disputes Foundation Zorggeschil, recognized by the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport. This is an independent committee that handles your complaint extremely carefully and confidentially, under the chairmanship of a lawyer, in accordance with the Regulations of the Disputes Committee. The committee consists of members representing patients and members representing healthcare providers.
The Dispute Resolution Center Zorggeschil only handles complaints submitted in writing. Anonymous complaints will not be considered. Filing a complaint on behalf of someone else is only possible under certain conditions.
Complaint Fee
Before your complaint is processed, you pay a one-time fee of €50 to the Dispute Resolution Body. If your complaint is upheld, the healthcare provider may be ordered to pay a complaint fee to you as the complainant. You as the complainant may be ordered to pay a contribution of up to €500.
Statement
The Zorggeschil Foundation has the authority, in accordance with the Quality, Complaints and Disputes Care Act (Wkkgz), which has been in effect since 01-01-2017, to award a complainant compensation of up to € 25,000. The ruling of the disputes committee is binding. This is legally regulated in the Wkkgz.
Employment
If your therapist is employed, complaints will be handled by the disputes committee of his/her employer. Please contact them.
