After years of ENT and respiratory complaints and the curiosity as to why I specifically developed these complaints and where I increasingly felt resistance in taking medication, I visited an acupuncturist in the region. She opened my eyes and after a period of treatment and adjusting my diet, I was cured of my complaints and freed from medication. I found this different view and approach to 'illness' so intriguing but also so logical. The Eastern way of healing not only looks at the condition but at the person as a whole, also extensively considering nutrition, lifestyle, and the psyche. This is what I wanted to be able to do as well. And as soon as I had completed my biggest caregiving task (3 beautiful children, the youngest of whom was ready for primary school), I enrolled at the Qing Bai Academy in Amersfoort. Here, in 2017, I graduated as an acupuncturist in Classical Acupuncture. Since then, I have attended many further training courses and in 2019, I was able to realize my own practice.

My goal is to investigate, resolve/improve your complaints together with you, and increase your self-awareness so that you feel good again and can function optimally. I often hear that I am a good listener, also because I like to discover the person behind this complaint in order to be able to establish the most effective treatment. Everyone is welcome in my practice, even if you are not keen on needles, we will look together for a suitable solution for your complaint.

Since 1994, I have graduated in Leeuwarden and have been working with pleasure as a pharmacy assistant at the public Benu pharmacy in Bolsward. In addition, I have also worked for a while at the Emergency Pharmacy in Sneek. The knowledge and years of experience gained in Western Medicine are very useful to me in my own practice. As a result, the lines with conventional medicine are shorter and I also see it as my mission to strengthen the bridge between East and West in the interest of the client.
