Contact
In the previous contributions, I invited you to reflect on what you truly find important and what you hope to achieve with a visit to the acupuncturist. With this information, you can now take the next step: contacting one or more acupuncturists to make a choice.

You now know a few important things. Let's summarize:
- You know what you truly find important in life.
- You know what you hope to achieve with a visit to an acupuncturist.
- You know what kind of acupuncturist appeals to you.

Now you can reach out to one or more acupuncturists. You can email or call and ask if it's a good idea to bring your question to him or her. If you keep your list of important points handy, you can ask if he or she can work with that. You will notice that most acupuncturists appreciate it when you have done some preparation! It's always nice for an acupuncturist to see that you specifically chose him or her (which is also nice for you). It can only benefit the treatment. But it may also happen that the acupuncturist says that his or her way of working does not align with what you are looking for. This can save you from a number of less suitable treatments quickly! And also save time and money.

Practical

Alright, you've connected. And then what? The practical questions, of course. If you haven't already found the information on the website, you can ask about the costs, opening hours, any waiting list, and the frequency of the initial treatments? As for the reimbursements by your health insurance, it's better to (pre)research that yourself. Usually, you will have to pay a part of the treatment yourself. Once all your questions are answered, you can schedule an appointment.

I don't know how the contact will progress. I hope for you and the acupuncturist that there is a real connection. I hope that you find your important points reflected in the first conversation with the acupuncturist – or that something even better comes up. And that this initial contact is the beginning of a treatment, guidance, or journey that you later say: Going to that acupuncturist back then was a good move. It has brought me a lot.
