Praktijk Fysiotherapie & Acupunctuur Speekenbrink

My name is Bas Speekenbrink. I originally graduated as a physiotherapist. From 1999 to 2020, I worked at the physiotherapy college Thim van der Laan as a teacher and educational developer. After 2020 until 2023, I focused on developing language and culture education. Since 2023, I have been focusing more on my own practice in Waalwijk.

After graduating, I started my training to become an acupuncturist, and in 2001, I started my practice. Further studies I have pursued include: Chinese herbal therapy, kinesiology, an introduction to ECIWO, ear acupuncture, dry needling, Dr. Tan's Balance Method, acupuncture and oncology, Mulligan, and kinesiotaping.

Based on my background, I strive to provide patients with customized care using the skills I now possess. My specialization and challenge lie in treating patients who have been 'treated' in the medical system. We now know that neither the Eastern nor Western world has all the wisdom. My challenge is to draw the best from both worlds for my patients. My mission is:
