Acupunctuurpraktijk Wagemakers

I am Peter Wagemakers, born in Dordrecht in 1963 and now living in Bemmel. Ever since my childhood, I have been interested in how our bodies work. Around the age of twelve, I knew I wanted to study something medical. After completing secondary school, I studied physiotherapy at Hogeschool Thim van der Laan and graduated in 1985. My first job was at a psychogeriatric nursing home in Dordrecht, where my interest in acupuncture was sparked by rehabilitation doctor Dr. Yap. After this period, I had to fulfill my military service. I was able to do this as a physiotherapist at the military rehabilitation center in Doorn. I then started working in Velp at a private practice, Fysiotherapie van Laatum, which is now called Fysiotherapie Poos. Here, I was also able to fulfill my wish to study acupuncture. I completed this study in 1993, and after that, I spent two more years studying Chinese herbs, completing my education. I specialize in treating people with various types of pain. In addition, I work as an acupuncturist with the oncology network in Velp.
