Why did you choose to become an acupuncturist? What or who inspired you?
In 1983, after completing my studies in natural medicine, I chose acupuncture as my specialization. It lifted me above the limited perspective of a physically oriented medicine and allowed room for what fascinated me: the mystical and miraculous aspects of life. What intrigued me the most was how the body, soul, and mind interacted with each other and how our inner healing ability could be unleashed. Acupuncture provided me with a foundation to nourish myself. Thirty years later, I started practicing Healing Tao exercises, and one insight followed another. I began to see more connections and understand acupuncture better. This led me to start writing, resulting in the book 'The Tao of Health: A Natural Path of Growth and Balance'.

What is your most beautiful experience with a patient?
Seeing how people discover their own potential and start flowing again in every way. And healing pain.
What are you still wondering about in your field?
The beautiful potential hidden in every human being. Life as a hologram. I find it wonderful how the processes in nature are reflected in our lives and how everything always grows and evolves again, as a result of the existence of those two poles yin and yang and their dynamic dance of life.
Is there something in your practice that embodies the essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine for you?
Not so much in my practice. I find it more in nature. The nature in every person and the nature around me from which I can read life and its laws and about which I am daily both amazed and delighted.
From the Source my writing has also emerged.
