Why did you choose to become an acupuncturist? What or who inspired you?
I got in touch with acupuncture because I had a burnout and terrible headaches. I went to the acupuncturist for the headaches. He not only helped me get rid of my headaches but also my burnout in six weeks. After this, I started the training, inspired by my acupuncturist who asked if that study was something for me. I come from the healthcare sector. The training was more difficult than I thought. It was especially challenging to shift from Western to Chinese thinking. But acupuncture is much more interesting than I thought.

What is your most beautiful experience with a patient?
I find all patients special because they are unique. And with everyone I have a different experience. Respect is essential. People show you the way when you use all your senses well, let your knowledge flow, and open your heart.
What are you still amazed by in your profession?
You never stop learning. A thousand days to learn it, ten thousand to
refine it. Acupuncture goes beyond words and beyond reason.
Is there something in your practice that embodies the essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine for you?
My symbol is Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion. It is an art to get on the same frequency with the other person. Then you can set something in motion with the other person.
