Praktijk IJspeert

My name is Ellen IJspeert. From a young age, I have been interested in understanding how the human body works and functions. Through my physiotherapy studies (Arnhem/Nijmegen), I have learned how important it is to maintain the balance between being fit and unfit, and how to influence it. After graduating as a physiotherapist in 1994, I started working in England and later in Amsterdam and Arnhem. Through my work experience, I learned that this balance involves more than just physical movement. That's why in 2003, I started studying Chinese acupuncture to have more tools to restore this balance. In 2014, I completed the Japanese acupuncture training (Toyohari). I continue to learn through studying professional literature, attending further education courses, and participating in lectures and seminars. Additionally, in the region, I have formed a group with some colleagues that meets regularly to share knowledge and experiences. With a subgroup of this group, we have created a pregnancy group that exchanges knowledge and skills in supporting women who are trying to conceive, are pregnant, or are about to give birth.
